Biography
Having grown up in Colorado and Wyoming, David Munford followed a path which led him to the east coast of the United States, settling in Boston in the early 1980’s. While there he attended the Art Institute of Boston, majoring in painting and printmaking.
In the early 1990’s David Munford relocated to the Catskill Mountains of New York. He has since worked as a graphic designer, freelance cartoonist, CAD technician and web designer, all the while continuing to paint regularly. His oil paintings include “plein air” landscapes and traditional still-lifes, as well as abstract pieces. He currently resides and works in Grahamsville, NY, and is a member of the Catskill Art Society, the Wurtsboro Art Alliance and the Wallkill River School.
